The horizontal panel saw is the first machine in the flat-pack furniture production chain: it cuts pieces from whole panels with precision and repeatability for all subsequent operations. MAYER Kappa 80 32.32 is a new saw of this type, year of manufacture 2026, with a cutting length of 3200 mm.

The automatic pusher with six grippers positions the panel itself for each cut, while the main unit Ø320 mm with 9 kW motor and pneumatic sliding pre-saw blade ensures clean cutting on both sides. Cutting height is motorised adjustment (also for grooves), and the saw carriage travels at 5–100 m/min. Control is via a 24-inch terminal with PC7000 software, featuring automatic laser workpiece length measurement, label printer and cutting optimisation programme.
