A contact (wide-belt) sander calibrates the thickness and finely sands the entire surface of the panel in a single pass, from a raw element to a surface ready for lacquer.

Preparing for lacquering

A vacuum table and a cleaning air blow-off.

For finishing lacquered surfaces the machine is fitted with a package of a vacuum table, a workpiece cleaning air blow-off and variable sanding-belt speed. It also has a folding infeed and outfeed table of 900 mm length.

Sanding belt and pressure

The right pressure across the whole panel.

The machine has a segmented pad: the unit is marked “Segmented Pad”. Segment-based workpiece width detection (25 segments / 55 mm) ensures the right pressure across the entire panel. The sanding belt speed is variable from 2.4 to 19 m/s.

Controls

Set the height from the display.

The height is adjusted electrically via the display. Next to the display are an emergency stop and two buttons marked 0 and I.
