Every piece of solid wood goes over the planer first: it gives the piece a flat reference face and an even thickness, and only then does everything else follow.

Two operations, one machine

Surfacing and thicknessing. In one machine.

The Format4 DUAL 51 is a combination planer: the surfacing tables give the piece its flat reference face, the thicknessing table its even thickness.

Width

510 mm for surfacing. 504 mm for thicknessing.

Boards and glued panels up to 510 mm wide pass over the surfacing table full width, and the thicknesser takes up to 504 mm.

Power-Drive D1

Thickness, set electrically.

The thicknessing table is set electrically through the Power-Drive D1 system, anywhere from 3 to 254 mm.

Feed speed is variable from 4 to 16 m/min. Work out how long one pass of your piece takes.
