The edgebander replaces manual edge gluing: the tape is applied with hot melt adhesive, trimmed and finished — all in one pass through the machine. Cehisa RAPID EP-9 from Spanish manufacturer Cehisa is a proven version of this machine for small to medium-sized joinery production.

It applies edge banding in PVC and ABS, veneer and solid edge strips 0.4–5 mm thick to workpieces approximately 8–45 mm thick, at feed speeds of 10–14 m/min. Pneumatic shears handle tape cutting, and the trimming unit trims the edge front and back.
