Cabinet Vision is software for furniture design and the automation of production preparation, made by Hexagon. In Slovenia it is sold by Totus, which also handles training, installation, integration with your machines and support. This article describes the path from the first presentation to working in the workshop.

1. Choosing a module combination

Cabinet Vision is built from modules. To make the choice easier, we have prepared five module combinations, from basic design and printouts to CNC programs and direct transfer to the panel saw. The contents and prices of all five combinations are published on the Cabinet Vision page, with no sign-up.

Three questions help with the choice:

  • which machines you have in the workshop and which you want to connect to the software (CNC machining centre, panel saw);
  • whether you need only drawings and cutting lists, or also programs for the machines;
  • how many people will work with the software.

A licence is for one user; the same applies to all modules and add-ons. Each licence allows up to two installations of the software.

2. A presentation on your project

Before you decide, you can arrange a live presentation. We show the software on an example close to your work, so you can see how the preparation of your products would work.

3. Quote and payment

We prepare a quote for the chosen module combination and any additional modules. Payment terms: 100 % before installation.

4. Training and installation

  • Training: takes place at the Totus premises, theoretical and practical, and lasts one day.
  • Installation: we install the software on one computer.
  • Machine integration: combinations 3 and 4 also contain the training and integration package. One day of integration is planned for each machine connected to Cabinet Vision.

5. The first year: training and support

In the first year, training and support are part of the licence, as is maintenance for the first year.

6. From the second year: the SMA contract

A maintenance contract (SMA) is an option for the following years. The annual maintenance fee is 12 % of the value of the selected modules; the amount for each combination is published on the Cabinet Vision page.

With an SMA contract you get:

  • help with additional training and with drawing projects (remotely);
  • help with licence issues and protection against licence loss;
  • new versions of the software: Hexagon provides four versions a year, installed once a year. New versions bring improvements, new features and fixes.

Next step

On the Cabinet Vision page, compare the module combinations and request a quote or a presentation. If you are not sure which combination suits your machines, write to us or call us; we will advise you.
