The band saw is indispensable in a solid wood workshop: it cuts curves, tenons and tall rips that a circular saw cannot manage. The Hammer N4400 is an Austrian band saw, year of manufacture 2026, with a cast working table and wheels 440 mm in diameter.

A 2.5 kW motor drives the blade 3976 mm long (width 6–25 mm) to 920 m/min; the saw cuts to a height of 310 mm and width of 420 mm. The cast table 420 × 575 mm tilts from -10° to +45°, the blade is guided above and below, and tension is shown by an indicator.
