A multi-spindle boring machine drills an entire row of holes in one pass on the 32 mm system — shelves, rails and fittings then fit together simply. The Felder FD 21 professional has 21 spindles at 32 mm centre spacing and a boring head that automatically rotates between 0° and 90° for horizontal or vertical boring.

The machine bores to a depth of 70 mm with automatic depth compensation, accepts workpieces up to 850 × 3000 mm and height up to 65 mm. Quick-change spindles allow rapid drill bit changes (5 attachments are included), and two pneumatic clamps hold the workpiece firmly on the table during boring.
