Two widths, one design
310 or 410 mm. You choose the width.
The A3 31 surface-planes up to 310 mm wide and thickness-planes up to 306 mm; the A3 41 up to 410 mm and 406 mm. Choose a model and every number on the page follows.

3-knife self-setting cutterblock
Set the knives in four minutes.
The three-knife cutterblock is self-setting and allows quick knife changes; it is a Felder patent. Setting the knives accurately takes four minutes, and you need no measuring tools.
Spiral planing head Silent-Power
The Silent-Power spiral cutterblock is optional equipment: according to the manufacturer it cuts noise by more than half, and each insert has 4 cutting edges.
Switching to thicknessing
Both tables lift at once.
When you switch to thicknessing, both tables lift together and lock automatically in the end position.
Thicknessing
Thickness from 4 to 225 mm.
Feed is 6 m/min with up to 4 mm removed per pass, and a piece must be at least 145 mm long. Work out how many passes and how much time your piece needs.

Passes = removal ÷ 4 mm, rounded up. Time = passes × length ÷ 6 m/min. The piece on the belt moves 6 times faster.

Tables and fence
Cast-iron tables: 1400 or 1800 mm.
The heavily reinforced tables are made of solid grey cast iron. The aluminium fence is 1100 mm long and tilts from 90° to 45°.
